Charter (Student Body Statutes §2-1.10):

The Committee on Academics shall be responsible for policies regarding academic reform, University academic policy, evaluation of professorships and courses, calendar issues, library operations, and physical education. The Committee on Academics shall affect liaison with the Faculty Senate Academic Policy Committee, the office of the Provost, the Teaching Effectiveness and Evaluation Committee, the Committee on Undergraduate Education, and the Department of Registration and Records.

The Academics Committee holds direct or indirect oversight authority over:

• Commission on Academics

The Academics Committee is a unit of the Student Senate.
