The meeting began with a call to order, the Pledge of Allegiance, and opening role call. Those Senators absent for the first meeting took their Oath of Office, and we moved into approval of the journal (minutes from the previous Senate meeting). The journal was approved. At the meeting of the Student Senate on April 18, we began our meeting with the Senatorial Oath of Office which each Senator present took. We then moved into hearing our speakers in attendance. Dr. Thomas Stafford joined the Student Senate to discuss his experiences with Student Government and to challenge the Senators to not only work together on legislation, but work together on representation of the students for whom they represent. Filing Opens: January 23rd Receipts Due: January 30th Filing Closing: February 10th Interviews: February 13th to February 16th Mark Ups: February 17th and 19th Appeals: February 27th and March 1st
Note when receipts are due! If you do not turn in your receipts by January 30th from last semester YOU WILL NOT RECEIVE FUNDING.
