Empowered by Students. Delivering Real Results.
If students or Senate raise an issue to the forefront, we hit the ground running to create tangible solutions and results.
- Jay Dawkins
We like that the motto is so simple and easy to understand and apply. If students or Senate raise an issue to the forefront, we hit the ground running to create tangible solutions and results. We vow to work directly with our peers in Senate and the Judicial branch to elevate the effectiveness of this organization as a whole.
The Executive Branch
The Executive Branch is headed by the Student Body President and the other executive officers, and is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Student Government. The Presidential Cabinet is the principle administrative unit of the executive branch. The Student Body President is assisted in the discharge of his duties by his staff in the Executive Office of the Student Body President.
The Executive Branch is made up of 15 distinct commissions and departments. Together they advocate and work for a better student experience in nearly every corner of campus life. These include the Academics Commission, the Athletics Commission, the Department of Campus Outreach, the Dining Commission, the Diversity Commission, the Department of Government Relations, the Hillsborough Street Commission, the Office of Judicial Research, the Publicity Commission, the Sustainability Commission, the Traditions Commission, the Transportation Commission, the Office of Tuition & Fees, the Division of Web Development, and the Wolfpack Student Initiative.
As you can tell, there's a place for everyone to serve! Working together with the Senate, this will be a very exciting, productive, meaningful year for everyone involved in Student Government. Together we will improve our university and the lives of all students. If you'd like to become involved in the executive branch, please email the Chief of Staff, Kelly Hook, at kmhook@ncsu.edu.
