1. What made you apply to the Student Senate?

2. How would being appointed a Student Senator most benefit you?

3. As policy-makers and advocates for the Student Body, one of the most important skills for a Student Senator is the ability to identify problems and suggest real, concrete solutions. Give an example from your past experience where you, individually or with others, identified a problem, discussed alternatives, and eventually found and implemented a solution to the problem.

4. To represent the students of NC State, a Student Senator must always remain close to his or her constituents. This requires a time commitment inside and outside of scheduled meetings. Are you willing to make the time to remain close to your constituents, and represent them well in Student Senate?

5. All types of experiences are important in making a good Student Senator. There is no one right set of qualifications for the office. What experiences do you have that will make you an effective Student Leader and an effective advocate for student issues?

6. If we are not able to offer you a position, may we forward your application to other parts of Student Government (e.g. Wolf Aides, Official Staffs, Student Body Commissions) so that they might extend other opportunities to you?
