A RESOLUTION TO BE ENTILED AN ACT TO PROVIDE FUNDING FOR A CONCERT ON THE LAWN SERIES

 

 


Short Title: Concert on the Lawn Series

WHEREAS,    WKNC is the official radio station of North Carolina State University; and,

 

WHEREAS,  the Union Activities Board and the Inter Residence Council strive to provide fun events for students of North Carolina State University to attend; and,

 

WHEREAS,  there is currently no free, outdoor concert series on campus; and

 

WHEREAS,  Student Government will work together with WKNC, UAB, and IRC to provide 3 outdoor concerts, free of charge for students; and

 

WHEREAS,    the dates and plans have already been made for an outdoor concert series; and,

 

WHEREAS,  the first date of the concert series is September 25, 2009; now therefore be it,

 

RESOLVED,  that the North Carolina State University Student Senate will provide $1000 to the Concert on the Lawn Series. All funds will be withdrawn from the General Trust Fund.
