WHEREAS,    advising plays a central role in the academic success of students; and,

 

WHEREAS,  academic advisor are vital in ensuring the ability of students to graduate on time; and,

 

WHEREAS, the Student Body has not been afforded the opportunity to experience a level standard of advising across all departments within the University; and,

 

WHEREAS, the desire for some standard of advising has been expressed by many students; now therefore be it,

 

RESOLVED,  that the North Carolina State University Student Senate wishes to establish a survey to assess the areas in need of improvement, as regards student advising across all departments of the University.
