Long Title:
A BILL TO BE ENTILED AS SENATE WEBMASTER QUALIFICATIONS
Summary of Purpose:
The Senate recommends amendment to the current NC State University Student Body Statute Chapter 2, Rule 22(g) to read Senate Webmaster. The President shall appoint from the membership of the Student Body of NC State University, subject to the majority approval of the Senate, who shall be responsible for the maintenance of the Student Senate website, consistent with SBS §3-8.

Short Title: Senate Webmaster Qualifications

WHEREAS,    The NC State University Student Body Statutes Chapter 2, Rule 22 identifies officers of the NC State Student Senate; and,

 

WHEREAS,    currently Statute Chapter 2, Rule 22(g) reads Senate Webmaster. The President shall appoint from the membership of the Senate a Webmaster, subject to the majority approval of the Senate, who shall be responsible for the maintenance of the Student Senate website, consistent with SBS ¤3-8.; now therefore be it,

 

RESOLVED,  with the difficulty in work/life balance between high academic standards, being appointed/elected as a Student Senator, and the appointment of various senate committees can be overwhelming in duties to further enhance the Student Government website. That this position could be best served by talented member of the student body without having to be a standing member of the Student Senate, and be it further,

 

RESOLVED,  the Senate recommends amendment to the current NC State University Student Body Statute Chapter 2, Rule 22(g) to read Senate Webmaster. The President shall appoint from the membership of the Student Body of NC State University, subject to the majority approval of the Senate, who shall be responsible for the maintenance of the Student Senate website, consistent with SBS ¤3-8.;.
