A BILL TO BE ENTITLED AS VOTING HOURS EXTENSION
Summary of Purpose:
The Student Body of NC State University should provide more allowable time for elections to engage all students in the student government process. The Senate recommends amendment to the current Statute Chapter 7-1.29 reads;. There shall be electronic polling accessible through the Student Government webpage, which shall open no later than 8:00 AM the first day of elections and shall remain open continuously for forty-eight (48) hours.

WHEREAS,    The NC State University Student Body Statutes Chapter 7-1.29 defines Electronic Polling detailing the amount of time allowable for student elections

 

WHEREAS,    current Statute Chapter 7-1.29 reads;. There shall be electronic polling accessible through the Student Government webpage, which shall open no later than 8:00 AM the first day of elections and shall remain open continuously for twenty-four (24) hours. now therefore be it,

 

RESOLVED,  that the Student Body of NC State University should provide more allowable time for elections to engage all students in the student government process, and be it further,

 

RESOLVED,  the Senate recommends amendment to the current Statute Chapter 7-1.29 reads;. There shall be electronic polling accessible through the Student Government webpage, which shall open no later than 8:00 AM the first day of elections and shall remain open continuously for ninety-six (96) hours.
