The Student Government Division of Web Development was created as an independant division by act of the Student Senate on October 18, 2000, and was later reorganized in April 2002. The division is governed under Article 8 of the Chapter 3 Student Body Statutes. The division is charged with maintaining the web sites and listservs of Student Government's branches and affilates.

At full strength, there is a Student Government Webmaster, an Associate Webmaster for each of the three branches, and any number of Assistant Webmasters.
