RESOLUTION 51
A RESOLUTION TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT TO PROVIDE FOR THE ADJOURNMENT SINE DIE
OF THE 1999-2000 SESSION OF THE STUDENT SENATE
WHEREAS, the 1999-2000 Session of the NC State University Student Senate enacted legislation to prevent an increase in student tuition; and,
WHEREAS, the 1999-2000 Session enacted legislation in support of naming the Entertainment and Sports Arena after former NC State men's basketball coach Jim Valvano; and,
WHEREAS, the 1999-2000 Session enacted legislation concerning increases in mandatory student fees for Physical Education, Intercollegiate Athletics, Education and Technology, Graduate School, and Transit Operations; and,
WHEREAS, the 1999-2000 Session enacted legislation supporting credit towards general education requirements for student enrolled in mandatory ROTC classes; and,
WHEREAS, the 1999-2000 Session enacted legislation denouncing the move towards English lab courses; and
WHEREAS, the 1999-2000 Session honored Richard Porter and Kay Yow for their dedication and service to the students of NC Sate University; and,
WHEREAS, the 1999-2000 Session enacted legislation outlining priorities for the expenditures of tuition revenues; and,
WHEREAS, the 1999-2000 Session supported the efforts to restore Rocky Branch Creek and providing an enjoyable greenspace; and,
WHEREAS, the 1999-2000 Session enacted legislation supporting the importance of academic integrity in a University setting; and,
WHEREAS, Rule 24 of the Rules of the Senate requires that any adjournment sine die be accomplished by Resolution; now, therefore be it
RESOLVED, that pursuant to Senate Rule 24, the 1999-2000 Session of the NC State University Student Senate, effective at 9:00pm on Wednesday, the twenty-sixth day of April, two thousand, shall stand adjourned sine die.
I hereby certify that this Resolution was read twice and adopted in the NC State University Student Senate, this 26thth day of April, 2000.
