A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT AUTHORIZING THE SENATE TO CONFIRM ELECTIONS BOARD MEMBERS ON FEBRUARY 21, 2001 WITHOUT THE REQUISITE WAITING PERIOD

Short Title: February 21 Appointments Act (Public)

WHEREAS, the Statutes require that the Elections Board must consist of at least seven members and the chair,

WHEREAS, currently, there are only three members of the elections board,

WHEREAS, a full elections board is needed at the earliest possibility; now, therefore be it

ENACTED, by the North Carolina State University Student Senate that §7-2.1(f) shall be amended, effective immediately upon enrollment, by adding the clause, “or February 21, 2001.” ;now, therefore be it further

ENACTED, by the North Carolina State University Student Senate that §7-2.1(f) shall be amended, effective at the close of the 2000-2001 session, by striking the clause, “unless the meeting occurs on February 18, 2001 or February 21, 2001”
