GOVERNMENT BILL 10

A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN INCREASE OF SENATE SEATS

 

BE IT ENACTED by the NC State University Student Senate that:

Section 1. Student Body Statutes Chapter 2, Article 3, 2a, shall amended to read as follows:

The Senate shall enact an apportionment no later than three (3) years from the date of the previous apportionment, subject to the following provisions:

  1. There shall be a total of sixty-four (64) Senators, each elected by the students of a recognized School or College of the University (SBS §2-3.3);

Section 2. Student Body Statutes Chapter 2, Article 3, 4a, shall amended to read as follows:

  1. Freshman from all Schools and Colleges –eleven (11);

Section 3.This act shall become effective upon its enrollment.

I hereby certify that this Resolution was read twice and adopted in the NC State

University Student Senate, this 23rd day of August, 2000.
