PROVOST KERMIT L. HALL

WHEREAS, Dr. Kermit L. Hall has served as Provost and
Vice-Chancellor for Academic Affairs since July of 1999; and,
WHEREAS, Dr. Hall
made contributions to North Carolina State University as a teacher,
administrator, and researcher; and,
WHEREAS, Dr. Hall's commitment to improving the quality of instruction at North Carolina State University was exhibited in his work to revise the reappointment, promotion, and tenure policy; and,
WHEREAS, Dr. Hall has always been committed to fully examining all
student issues; and,
WHEREAS, Dr. Hall's willingness
to help all students develop both professionally and personally made him one of
the most valued members of the North Carolina State University community; and,
WHEREAS, Dr. Hall's documented support for student
initiatives to promote academic integrity far surpassed the duty of his office;
and,
WHEREAS, Dr. Hall's actions and vision are consistent
with the best traditions of North Carolina State University; now, therefore be
it
RESOLVED, that
the North Carolina State University Student Senate hereby recognizes Dr. Kermit
L. Hall for his service and dedication to the betterment of North Carolina
State University, and particularly to its students.
