A RESOLUTION TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT TO CALLING FOR THE UNIVERSITY TO IMMEDIATELY REEVALUATE THE NEWLY RELEASED UNIVERSITY HOMEPAGE

WHEREAS, North Carolina State University has recently released a radically new version of the University homepage; and,
WHEREAS, the homepage is the primary identifier of the North Carolina State University image to many both inside and outside the University; and,
WHEREAS, North Carolina State University failed to adequately involve the student body in the formulation of a newly revised homepage; and,
WHEREAS, North Carolina State University abruptly replaced the University homepage with a poorly designed substitute; and,
WHEREAS, the new North Carolina State University homepage is inconsistent in appearance with the University's policy on graphic identity; and,
WHEREAS, the new homepage destroys concerted, long-term efforts to maintain a consistency in all North Carolina State University webpages; and,
WHEREAS, the new homepage places important student related content in relative obscurity and thus prevents students from easily accessing resources needed to be a successful student; now, therefore be it
RESOLVED,
that the North Carolina State University Student Senate immediately and emphatically demands that the University reevaluate the implementation of its new homepage.
