A
RESOLUTION TO BE ENTITLED
An Act to
Encourage The University to Create Procedures Protecting The Ability of
Students to Complete Minors in Which they are Duly Enrolled
WHEREAS,
North
Carolina State University offers over eighty(80) academic minors, popular with
students seeking to broaden their academic focus; and,
WHEREAS, there is currently no university-wide policy regarding enrollment in these minors; and,

in taking these minors leads to confusion detrimental to students; and,
WHEREAS, a university-wide system
of enrollment in minors would allow for a clear view of the numbers of students
in each minor; and,
WHEREAS, a university-wide system
of enrollment in minors would allow departments to restrict sections of courses
to those enrolled in the major and/or minor; now, therefore be it,
RESOLVED, that
the North Carolina Student Senate urges the University to research and adapt a
university-wide system of enrollment in academic minors.
I hereby certify that this resolution was read twice and
