SENATE RESOLUTION 32

A RESOLUTION TO BE ENTITLED

An act to order a special election to present college of management Student Advisory Board referenda

WHEREAS,   Student Government is best capable of conducting fair and accurate balloting of the Student Body; and,

WHEREAS,   a college council, the College of Management Student Advisory Board, has requested assistance presenting constitutional referendums, as required by the Student Body Constitution; and,

WHEREAS,   Article 1 of the Chapter 7 Student Body Statutes empowers the Student Senate to order special student body elections; now, therefore be it

RESOLVED,  by the North Carolina State University Student Senate that:

Section 1.        There shall be a special election, entitled the “Special Management Student Body Election”, with polling occurring on Monday, December 2^nd 2002, and Tuesday, December 3^rd 2002.

Section 2.        The Elections Commission charged with the execution of the Special Management Student Body Election shall be comprised solely of an Elections Commission Chair, appointed pursuant to Student Body Law.

Section 3.        The Elections Commission shall be granted discretion on whether to operate a single supervised polling location, run solely by official Board of Elections personnel, on both days of the Special Management Student Body Election.

Section 4.        The Special Management Student Body Election shall present the question of ratification by the College of Management Student Body of such referendums duly provided by the College of Management Student Advisory Board.

I hereby certify that this resolution was read twice and adopted in the North Carolina State University Student Senate, this 23^rd day of October 2002.
