A RESOLUTION TO BE ENTITLED
An act to order a special election for the purpose electing leaders of the pack
Short Title: Fall Special Election Order (Senate)

WHEREAS, the traditional Leader of the Pack contest is held annually for Homecoming; and,
WHEREAS, Student Government is best capable of conducting fair and accurate balloting of the Student Body; and,
WHEREAS, Article 1 of the Chapter 7 Student Body Statutes empowers the Student Senate to order special student body elections; now, therefore be it
RESOLVED, by the North Carolina State University Student Senate that:
Section 1. There shall be a special election, entitled the “Fall Special Student Body Election”, with polling occurring on Monday, October 28th 2002, and Tuesday, October 29th 2002.
Section 2. The Elections Commission charged with the execution of the Fall Special Student Body Election shall be comprised solely of an Elections Commission Chair, appointed pursuant to Student Body Law.
Section 3. The Elections Commission shall be granted discretion on whether to operate a single supervised polling location on both days of the Fall Special Student Body Election.
Section 4. The Fall Special Student Body Election shall concern the following questions:
(i) Election of the female Leader-of-the-Pack by the Student Body at-large, from amongst three (3) candidates provided by the Leader-of-the-Pack Committee;
(ii) Election of the male Leader-of-the-Pack by the Student Body at-large, from amongst three (3) candidates provided by the Leader-of-the-Pack Committee.
