RESOLUTION 94

 

A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

An ACT to Support The United States Armed Services

 

 

 


WHEREAS,   our country holds true that everyone should have the opportunity to Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness; and,

 

WHEREAS,   the men and women in the service of our country uphold those values faithfully and honorably be it seen and unseen; and,

 

WHEREAS,   North Carolina State University takes great pride in the military personnel from all branches of the United States Armed Forces; and,
 
WHEREAS,   North Carolina State University takes particular pride in the military personnel stationed at Camp Lejeune, Cherry Point, Fort Bragg, Pope Air Force Base, and Seymour Johnson Air Force Base; and,

 

WHEREAS,   North Carolina State University is also proud of the many North Carolinians who are members of the reserve components of the armed services and of the North Carolina National Guard; and,

 

WHEREAS,   as these brave men and women carry out their missions in Operation Iraqi Freedom, it is crucial to remember the sacrifices they are undertaking; and,

 
RESOLVED,  that the North Carolina State University Student Senate strongly supports our troops in Operation Iraqi Freedom and wishes them a safe and fast return; and, be it further,
 
RESOLVED,  that the North Carolina State University Student Senate asks that the University Administration light the bell tower in Wolfpack red as a tribute to our soldiers in their current endeavors.
