A RESOLUTION TO BE ENTITLED AN ACT
TO PROVIDE RECOMMENDATIONS TO THE UNIVERSITY OF NORTH CAROLINA ASSOCIATION OF STUDENT GOVERNMENTS ON THEIR PROPOSED BUDGET AND IMPLEMENTATION FOR THE 2002-2003 ACADEMIC YEAR
Short Title: UNCASG Budget Act. (Public)

WHEREAS, The State a nd National Government Affairs Committee of the Student
Senate at Appalachian State University has already reviewed and submitted recommendations to the ASG on the proposed budget; and,
WHEREAS, North Carolina State University students pay approximately $23,000 into
the UNCASG coffers, a sum accounting for an excess of one-seventh the Associations’ fee budget; and,
WHEREAS, the students of North Carolina State University are granted only one-sixteenth of
the representation in the Association; and,
WHEREAS, North Carolina State University Student Government is the Association’s
largest constituent; now, therefore be it
RESOLVED, by the North Carolina State University Student Senate that:
Section 1. The following shall be consider endorsed for adoption as an UNCASG
budget:

Section 2. The North Carolina State University Student Government delegation shall be instructed to expend all necessary efforts to encourage the adoption of the above endorsed budget and other provisions of this act.
Section 3. Any support for the Association of Student Governments and its budget is dependent upon an annual audit of the association by an independent CPA.
Section 4. This act shall take effect upon enrollment.
