GOVERNMENT BILL 163

 

A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

An act to extend treasury discretionary appropriations limitations to apply to non-student organizations

 


BE IT ENACTED,            by the North Carolina State University Student Senate that:

 

Section 1.        Student Body Statutes §5-1.16 shall be amended by striking “student” after “The Treasurer shall not discretionally fund”:

 

§5-1.16. Discretionary Appropriations.

The Treasurer shall not discretionally fund student organizations outside of the jurisdiction of Student Government without the prior approval of the Senate Financial Services Committee.  If the Financial Services Committee does not approve the disbursement, the Treasurer or a Senator may then submit it to the whole Senate for approval in the form of a program bill.  If more than $500 is appropriated to a single organization within one session, the Treasurer or a Senator must submit it to the whole Senate in the form of a program bill for approval.

 

Section 2.        This act shall be effective upon its enrollment.
