A RESOLUTION TO BE ENTITLED
An Act To Impeach Senator Marsh On The Charge Of Neglect of Duty Due to Excessive Absences

WHEREAS, Parker Marsh, a student of North Carolina
State University, became a Student Senator representing College of Management
Seniors on April 23, 2003; and,
WHEREAS, the Student Body Statutes, Chapter 2, Article 1, Rule 2f, provides that the Student Senate Standing Committee on Government Operations shall review the absences of a Student Senator should the Senator accumulate four (4) absences; and,
WHEREAS, the Student Body Statutes, Chapter 2, Article 1, Rule 2e, provides that absences from formal meetings of Senate committees shall be treated as one-half (1/2) a Senate absence; and,
WHEREAS, as of January 15, 2004, Senator Marsh has missed a total of twenty (20) Senate roll calls or committee meetings, totaling ten (10) total absences; and,
WHEREAS, in a hearing conducted pursuant to rule on January 21, 2004, the Senate Standing Committee on Government Operations found the absences of Senator Marsh excessive and recommended impeachment; now; therefore be it
RESOLVED, that the NC State University Student Senate
hereby impeaches Senator Marsh on the charge of neglect of duty, as defined and
authorized by sections 25 and 9(d) of Chapter 2, Article 2 of the Student Body
Statutes; given the specifications:
