SENATE BILL 82

A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

An act to Require senate alternates to be recorded prior to the onset of a senate meeting

Short Title: Senate Alternate Act (Senate)

BE IT ENACTED by the North Carolina State University Student Senate that:

Section 1. Senate Rule 2(d) shall be amended by striking:

~~The alternate shall present written confirmation from the appointing Senator of his or her appointment to the President.~~

And Inserting:

The alternate shall present written confirmation from the appointing Senator of his or her appointment to the President no later than immediately prior to the opening roll call of the meeting at which the alternate will be serving.

Section 2. This act shall be effective upon its adoption.
