A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
An act to adjust the constitutional restrictions on composition of the student senate
Short Title: Senate Composition Flexibility Act (Public)

BE IT ENACTED, by the North Carolina State University Student Senate that:
Section 1. Article II Section Two of the Student Body Constitution shall be amended by striking:
“The Student Senate shall be
composed of fifty-eight to sixty-four Senators who shall represent each of the
schools and colleges of the University and special students.”
and inserting:
“The Student Senate shall be composed of forty-five to sixty Senators who shall represent each of the schools and colleges of the University and special students.”
Section 2. This act, upon its approval of the Senate, shall be placed on the ballot during the 2004 Spring Elections as a Student Body Referendum, labeled with accordance to the Student Body Statues, and shall become effective upon a two-thirds majority vote of the Student Body.
