RESOLUTION 151
A RESOLUTION TO BE ENTITLED
An act TO Encourage The Enlargement of the University fee Committee and Increase Student participation on the Committee
WHEREAS, the University Fee Committee has been constructed by the University of North Carolina Board of Governors to provide recommendations to the Chancellor on proposed university fee adjustments and,
WHEREAS, the Committee is charged by the Board of Governor’s statute to have input from students, financial aid, business officials, and student affairs divisions of the university, and
WHEARAS, the Committee now consists of five members, only one of which is a student, and,
WHEREAS, the Committee deals with fee increases that are directly paid by students and primarily affect programming and services provided to students, therefore be it
RESOLVED, that the North Carolina State University Student Senate calls for the University Fee Committee to be enlarged to a size of no less than seven (7) members, and further be it
RESOLVED, that the North Carolina State University Student Senate calls for the University Fee Committee to have no less than forty (40) percent student membership, and further be it
RESOLVED, that the North Carolina State University Student Senate calls for the University Fee Committee student involvement to be representative of the University student body.
