An act to impeach senator scott stephenson on the charges of Abuse of power and neglect of duty

WHEREAS, Scott Stephenson,
a student at
RESOLVED, that the North Carolina State University Student Senate hereby impeaches Senator Scott Stephenson on the charges of:
(a) Abuse of Power, as defined and authorized by section 24 of Chapter 2, Article 2, of the Student Body Statutes; given the specifications:
1. Senator Scott Stephenson, as the Ticket Administrator for the North Carolina State University Student Senate during the 84th Session, deprived the Students of North Carolina State University the opportunity to obtain a ticket for NC State sporting events by willfully mishandling student Vouchers during there distribution;
2. Senator Scott Stephenson encouraged Senator Erin Lam to equally and willingly split twenty (20) to thirty (30) illegally acquired vouchers for the Florida State vs. North Carolina State University football game in the 2004 season;
(b) Neglect of Duty, as defined and authorized by section 25 of Chapter 2, Article 2, of the Student Body Statutes; given the specifications:
1. Senator Scott Stephenson admitted that he failed to discouraged voucher theft;
2. Senator Scott Stephenson placed Senator (Em.) Jessica Horne in charge of a booth during the NC State and Duke basketball game even though he knew she had mishandled both tickets and vouchers.
