GOVERNMENT BILL 93

 

A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

An act to create an office of student ticket administrator

 

Short Title: Student Ticket Administrator Act    (Public)

BE IT ENACTED,            by the North Carolina State University Student Senate that:

 

Section 1.            That Section 9 of the Student Body Statues be amended by inserting:

                        Section IV. Student Ticket Administrator

                        §9-1.11 Student Ticket Administrator

The Student Ticket Administrator shall serve as the Student Government official charged with the execution of all student ticket policies, distribution of ticket vouchers, campout events, and serve as the liaison between Student Government and athletics on all ticket issues.

                        §9-1.12 Selection of Student Ticket Administrator

The Student Ticket Administrator shall be selected by the Senate Campus Community Committee subject to the rules of Public Appointments, subject to the majority vote of the Senate.

§9-1.13 Timeline for Appointment

The Student Ticket Administrator shall be selected, subject to Senate confirmation, by the Campus Community Committee by the first Senate meeting in February.  

§9-1.14 Term of Position

The Student Ticket Administrator shall serve a one-year term commencing from the end of student ticket distribution activities for men’s basketball.

§9-1.15 Dual-Office Exemption

The office of Student Ticket Administrator shall be exempt from any prohibitions on dual-office positions.

§9-1.16 Assistants to the Student Ticket Administrator

                        The Campus Community Committee shall be entitled to appoint, as needed, assistants to the Student Ticket Administrator.

                       

                        §9-1.17 Removal of the Student Ticket Administrator

                       

                        The Student Ticket Administrator is considered a Student Government Official, and as such are subject to the punitive powers of the Senate per §2-2.

 

                        §9-1.18 Removal of Assistants

                       

                        The Campus Community Committee may remove Assistants to the Student Ticket Administrator by a three-fourths (3/4) vote of the committee.

 

                        §9-1.19 Restriction from Stipend

 

                        At no time shall it be appropriate for the Student Ticket Administrator or Assistants to the Student Ticket Administrator to receive stipends from the Student Body Budget.

 

Section 2.        This act shall be effective upon its enrollment.
