A RESOLUTION TO BE ENTITLED

An act to Urge that No Per-CLAss webassign service Fees be Charged to the students of nc state university

 

Short Title: WebAssign Zero-Charge Act    (Public)

WHEREAS, the WebAssign program was developed by faculty at NC State University in 1997 as an innovative educational product for students to receive automatic feedback from homework assignments; and,

 

WHEREAS, WebAssign has remained a product without user fees for the students of NC State University through the education technology funding of student fees, allowing creative and flexible use by the faculty; and,

 

WHEREAS, WebAssign originally began as a student-friendly product, especially for NC State’s campus, but now is becoming a money-making scheme for a new corporation; now, therefore be it

 

RESOLVED,  that the North Carolina State University Student Senate highly opposes any additional charge for WebAssign use by the students of NC State University.
