A RESOLUTION TO BE ENTITLED AN ACT REQUESTING THE ATHLETIC DEPARTMENT TO ALLOCATE STUDENTS ADDITIONAL TICKETS AT CARTER-FINLEY STADIUM.
Summary of Purpose:
1. Requests that the Athletic Department designate at least 2,000 seats in the North End Zone for students for the 2006 football season. 2. request at the end of the 2006 football season the Athletic Department reexamine student ticket demand and seat allocation and that when discussion of future student ticket allocation takes place there be a time period for students to voice their concerns, opinions, and suggestions to the Athletic Department.

A RESOLUTION TO BE ENTITLED

An act REQUESTING the athletic department to allocate students ADDITIONAL tickets at carter-finley stadium.

 

Short Title: Additional Student Ticket Act    (Public)

WHEREAS,   Carter-Finley is currently in the process of undergoing a renovation of the North End Zone; and,

 

WHEREAS,   with these renovations the seating capacity of Carter-Finley will increase by approximately 7,000; and,

 

WHEREAS,   students at North Carolina State not only supports athletics with $119 in fees, but also with a cheerful and energetic atmosphere at all Wolfpack athletic events; and,

 

WHEREAS,   students feel that there should be more opportunities for them to support their fellow students on the field; and,

 

WHEREAS,   with the recent renovations to Carter-Finley and increase in the Intercollegiate Athletics Fee students should see a benefit by gaining an increase the allocation of the number of tickets per game; now, therefore be it

 

RESOLVED,  by the North Carolina State University Student Senate request that the Athletic Department designate at least 2,000 seats in the North End Zone for students for the 2006 football season; and,

 

RESOLVED,  that the Student Senate request at the end of the 2006 football season the Athletic Department  reexamine student ticket demand and seat allocation and that when discussion of future student ticket allocation takes place there be a time period for students to voice their concerns, opinions, and suggestions to the Athletic Department.
