WHEREAS, Erich M Fabricius entered Student Government
in 1999-2000 as a First Year College Senator serving as Secretary, Wolf Aide,
Tuition and Fee Committee Member, Government Operations Committee Member, and Select
Committee on Budget Member; and,
WHEREAS, Erich M Fabricius served his Second
Year in Student Government in 2000-2001 as a College of Engineering Sophomores
Senator serving as Senior Associate Student Government Webmaster, Select Constitutional
Review Committee Member, Government Operations Committee Chair, Parliamentarian, Web Development Commission Member, and Campus Life Committee Vice Chair; and,
WHEREAS, Erich M Fabricius served his Third Year in
Student Government in 2001-2002 as a College of Engineering Seniors Senator serving as Senior Associate Student
Government Webmaster, Engineering Delegation Ranking Member, Government Operations Committee Chair, Select Committee on
Budget Member, Web Development Commission Member, and Select Information Technology Assessment Committee Member; and
WHEREAS, Erich M Fabricius served his Forth Year in
Student Government in 2002-2003 as a College of Engineering Seniors Senator serving as Senior Associate Student
Government Webmaster, Engineering Delegation Ranking Member, Government Operations Committee Member, Select Association of
Student Government Affairs Committee Member, Subcommittee on Ethics Member, Committee on Rules Chair and Student Senate President Pro
Tempore; and
WHEREAS, Erich M Fabricius served his Fifth Year in
Student Government in 2003-2004 as the Student Senate President and serving as UNCASG Delegate;
and
WHEREAS, Erich M Fabricius served his Sixth Year in
Student Government in 2004-2005 as a Graduate Senator serving as Senate Webmaster, Senior Associate Student Government Webmaster,
Graduate Delegation
Ranking Member, Select
Committee on Appointments Chair, Committee on Rules Member, University Affairs Committee Chair, Committee on the Budget
Vice Chair, Committee on Rules Member, and Web Development Commission Vice
Chair; and
WHEREAS, Erich M Fabricius is serving his Seventh Year
in Student Government in 2005-2006 as a Graduate Senator serving as Senate Webmaster, Senior Associate Student Government Webmaster,
Graduate Delegation
Ranking Member, Select
Committee on Appointments Chair, Committee on Rules and Calendar Vice Chair,
Finance Committee Chair, Select Committee on Government Simplification Chair,
Committee on the Budget Vice-Chair, and Web Development Commission Vice Chair;
and
WHEREAS, Erich M Fabricius has served seven years in
Student Government from 1999-2006 while gain a Degree in Bachelor Science in Chemical
Engineering, a Bachelor Science in Economics, and a Masters of Economics, while
Graduating Magna Cum Laude; and
WHEREAS, Erich M Fabricius has helped to develop
Student Senate and Student Government into a model Student Government; and
WHEREAS, Erich M Fabricius has written over Two Hundred
Bills while serving as a Student Senator; and
WHEREAS, Erich M Fabricius has written legislation in
the creation of Committees, removal of Committees, on Tuition and Fees, on
Campus Issues, Tailgating, Constitutional Changes, Website Development, Statues
Changes, Finance Bills, and many others as well as helping Senator to write
their own bills; and
WHEREAS, Erich M Fabricius has received only one Half
Absence at a Senate Meeting, which was a Emergency Meeting on a February 13,
2002; and
WHEREAS, Erich M Fabricius has written thousands of
lines of code for the Student Government website as well as helping to develop
the elections software; and
WHEREAS, Erich M Fabricius has provided sound
leadership in Student Government crisis, projects, and initiatives; and
WHEREAS, Erich M Fabricius is the longest serving
Student Senator; now, therefore be it
RESOLVED, that
the North Carolina State University Student Senate shall honor Erich M.
Fabricius by placing a plaque with his name and years of service on the end of
the front right table to the Senate President as well as a book will be placed
in the Student Government Office detailing his works.
