A RESOLUTION TO BE ENTITLED
An act ENCOURAGING TRANSPORTATION TO EXPAND WOLFLINE SERVICE TO MORE OFF CAMPUS APARTMENT COMPLEXES

WHEREAS, the Wolfline is a mode of transportation that
is supported by students in the form of student fee money; and,
WHEREAS, those students living
off campus pay $104 in the Transit Operations Fee which is the same that an on
campus student pays; and,
WHEREAS, the university goal is to make the campus
more pedestrian friendly; and
WHEREAS, the continual rise in parking prices has
caused the Wolfline to become an increasingly used method of getting to and
from campus; and,
WHEREAS, having an expanded Wolfline service to more off campus
apartment complexes would reduce the number of cars on campus, would make
getting to and from campus easier and more convenient for students; now,
therefore be it
RESOLVED, by
the North Carolina State University Student Senate ask the Department of
Transportation to strongly consider expanding Wolfline service to more off
campus apartment complexes ( i.e. Village Green, Wolf Creek, University House,
Trinity Commons, and University Woods), and to over-crowded routes, when coming up with the schedule and routs of
the 2006-2007 academic school year; also therefore be it
RESOLVED,
the Student Senate also supports
a reasonable transportation fee increase specifically to provide this
improvement in the Wolfline bus service in the future.
