A RESOLUTION TO BE ENTITLED
An act ASKING FOR EQUAL TREATMENT OF ALL FANS THAT ATTEND WOLFPACK ATHLETIC EVENTS

WHEREAS, there are rules and procedures that the
Department of Athletics and North Carolina State University have been
established for fans that attend Wolfpack athletic events; and,
WHEREAS, these rules and procedures are established
with safety and order in mind; and,
WHEREAS, Wolfpack fans feel that they are not being
treated as equal as other spectators with current policies that govern athletic
events; and,
WHEREAS, such rules that are imposed should be enforced
for all those that attend Wolfpack athletic events including: students, alumni,
faculty, staff, administrators, and others that support
WHEREAS, the boundaries of policies that are
established should be enforced to the same extent in the stands, cheering
areas, parking lots, and in the luxury boxes at the RBC Center and Vaughn
Towers at Carter-Finley; and,
WHEREAS, the Student Senate does not wish to remove any rights and
privileges from any fan; and,
WHEREAS, any policy that does not governs all fans equality should
not be entertained by university Administration now, therefore be it
RESOLVED, the
North Carolina State University Student Senate affirms all policies that are
established for those that attend North Carolina State University athletic
events should encompass all people and all areas of the event; and,
RESOLVED, that
the Student Senate does not support any policy that treats any spectator as
second class Wolfpack fans, but support policies that treat all fans as equal.
