A RESOLUTION TO BE ENTITLED

An act TO CREATE AN OFFICIAL STUDENT SENATE LIAISON to the GREEK LIFE community

Short Title: Greek Life Liaison Act (Senate)

WHEREAS, the Greek Life community is an important part of the student body at North Carolina State University; and,

WHEREAS, the Student Senate of North Carolina State University should maintain a close relationship with the Greek community; and,

WHEREAS, both the Student Senate and Greek Life communities here at North Carolina State work hard to better the University; and,

WHEREAS, having a Senator to be the Greek Life Liaison would prove beneficial to the relationship between Greek Life and the Student Senate; and,

WHEREAS, the Interfraternity Council, Pan-Hellenic Association, National Pan-Hellenic Council, and Collaborative Greek Council will have a better understanding of Student Senate issues by a Senator Liaison; and,

WHEREAS, the Student Senate will be better informed on the issues facing the Greek Life community with an official Senate Liaison; and,

WHEREAS, the Greek Life community supports having a Senator Liaison to the Greek Community; and,

WHEREAS, the students at North Carolina State University would benefit in there being a Greek Liaison from the Student Senate; now, therefore be it,

RESOLVED, that the North Carolina State University Student Senate establish a Senator Liaison to the Greek Life Councils present at North Carolina State University.
