A RESOLUTION TO BE ENTITLED

An act REQUESTING THE UNIVERSITY TO COMPILE AND RELEASE STUDENT SURVEYS OF PROFESSORS

 

Short Title: Professor Accountability Act     (Public)

WHEREAS,   at the end of each academic semester students are asked to fill out surveys on their professors and teaching assistants; and,

 

WHEREAS,   students do not feel that their survey are given proper consideration by university administration or carry much weight in university evaluations; and,

 

WHEREAS,   students should be given the opportunity to see and review how their peers survey professors and teaching assistants; and,

 

WHEREAS,   allowing students to view their peers assessment of professors and teaching assistants would aid in keeping professors and teaching assistants accountable to students and to the classes and subjects they teach; now, therefore be it

 

RESOLVED,  by the North Carolina State University Student Senate requests that the university establishes an online system for students to view peer assessments of professors and teaching assistants and that this system be set up and ready for student to review by January 2007.
