An act OF recommendATION to the Provost of NC
State to implement a policy of student notification when a Professor cancels
class

WHEREAS, students at North Carolina State University attempt to attend and be on time to class on a regular basis and;
WHEREAS, classes are scheduled to meet at a set time over the course of a week and;
WHEREAS, when the Professor cancels the class some, fail to notify the students in a timely manner or not ever at all and;
WHEREAS, this lack of notification of the cancelled class is unfair and disrespectful to the hardworking students now; therefore be it
RESOLVED, that the North Carolina State University Student Senate strongly urge the Provost of the university to adopt a policy that professors, assistant professors, teaching assistants, and others teaching at North Carolina State University shall notify students of their class cancellation 45 minutes prior to the start of class. Notification shall be communicated in the form of an e-mail to the class roster.
