A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
An act to allow senior students to attend senior football games.
Short Title: Senior Game Tickets Act

WHEREAS, One home football
game is designated the Senior Game each year by the athletic department; and,
WHEREAS, these
games are used as an opportunity to honor individuals for their dedication and
excellence as NCSU students as well as their participation in intercollegiate
athletics; and,
WHEREAS, members of
the senior class have provided loyal support for, and created lasting
friendships with these athletes; and,
WHEREAS, through
these actions, the Senior Class develops a vested interest in seeing these individuals
honored during the Senior Football Game; now, therefore be it
ENACTED, by
the North Carolina State University Student Senate that: Current senior students by credit hours will
have the opportunity to claim a ticket to the Senior Football Game prior to the
ticket system lottery for general student population. 30% of the total student ticket allotment
will be distributed on a first come, first serve basis to seniors prior to the
general student ticket request period.
These tickets will be drawn from the student non-block seating
allotment. Any tickets not claimed by
seniors will be returned to the general student ticket allotment; and,
Section 1. Student Body Statutes §9-2.2 shall be amended by sticking:
f). Exceptions:
Certain games will not follow this policy due the extenuating circumstances.
These games will be identified by the Campus Community Committee and the
Athletics Department, upon approval by the senate. The guidelines for these games will be
posted at least two weeks prior to the game via tickets.ncsu.edu.
(g) Senior Game Tickets:
Current senior students
by credit hours will have the opportunity to claim a ticket to the Senior
Football Game prior to the ticket system lottery for general student population
each year. 20% of the total student
ticket allotment for this game will be distributed on a first come, first serve
basis to seniors prior to the general student ticket request period. These tickets will be drawn proportionally
from both the non-block seating allotment and the block seating allotment. Any tickets not claimed by seniors will be
returned to the general student ticket allotment. A running list will be kept for seniors who
take advantage of this ticket allotment.
Those seniors who receive a ticket will not be eligible for the normal
student ticket distribution for that Senior Game. Also, students who have senior status for
more than one year are only allowed to claim a ticket through this system once,
and will not be eligible in following years for the senior ticket allotment for
the Senior Game once they have taken advantage of this system. This running list of seniors claiming tickets
under this system will be maintained by the Campus Community Committee.
