A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

An act TO Support the Atrium’s Renovation to better serve the students of NC State university

 

Short Title:  Atrium Renovation Support Act                                                                     (Public)

WHEREAS,  the Atrium, located on the west side of D.H. Hill, is open from 7am to 3pm, and, 

 

WHEREAS,  the Atrium, contains Chick-Fil-A, Lil Dino’s, Toppers and Freshens, and,  

 

WHEREAS,  the Atrium hasn’t been renovated in many years, and,         

 

WHEREAS,  while being a popular spot whenever it is open, between the hours of 11-3, the

Atrium is especially crowded, and,   

 

WHEREAS, with an ever growing University, there is no additional room available to serve the

additional students; and,       

 

WHEREAS, while there are other options nearby when the Atrium is crowded, those options are more expensive for those who do not have a meal plan; and, 

 

WHEREAS, even when Talley Student Center(TSC) is considered, that option is also crowded during the same times and can be inconvenient due to the distance between the Atrium and TSC; now, therefore be it,           

 

RESOLVED, that the NC State Student Senate supports the renovation of the Atrium to service more students.

 

RESOLVED, that both dining and the NCSU Libraries look into reopening access from the library to the atrium.

 

RESOLVED, that the Student Senate supports University Dining’s continued research on the Atrium renovations
