A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

An act TO ENCOURAGE nc sTATE uNIVERSITY dINING TO EXTEND ITS HOURS

 

Short Title:  Dining Hours Extension Act                                                                                 (Public)

WHEREAS,  there has been an interest among the student body to extend dining hall hours to

accommodate those who are not able to consume dinner within the normal dining hours; and,

 

WHEREAS,  many ideas have been considered including:

1)      “Fast Track” – Hamburgers, Hot Dogs, Cold Cuts.

2)      Extension of one or more dining hall’s hours (with full menu).

3)      Wolves’ Den Renovation to accommodate a broader menu; and,

 

WHEREAS,  through discussions with University Dining, it was agreed that the “Fast Track”

option left much to be desired; and,      

 

WHEREAS,  both the second and third option were indeed viable options to pursue; and,       

 

WHEREAS,  the interests of both University Dining and the Student Body is the most efficient

and convenient dining system possible; now therefore be it,

 

RESOLVED,  by the North Carolina State University Student Senate that, after discussions between the agencies of Student Government and University Dining, we encourage University Dining, on a long term basis, to look into renovating Talley Student Center, with an emphasis on the Wolves Den and extending the hours of both Taco Bell and Lil’ Dinos; and be it further,

 

RESOLVED, that in the short term, University Dining look into possibly extending hours at one or more dining halls to 9 pm; and be it further,

 

RESOLVED, that Student Government commends University Dining for being receptive to the concerns of NC State’s Student Body.
