A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

An act TO authorize the expenditure of funds to produce transportation guides for use by the Student Body

 

Short Title:  Transportation Guide Funding Act                                                                       (Public)

WHEREAS;   at the beginning of the year, freshmen and transfer students often have trouble navigating the 2,139 acres that NC State occupies; and,          

 

WHEREAS,  in addition to the size of the campus, new students must also figure out the

thirteen routes of the bus system; now therefore be it,

 

WHEREAS,  a guide, that is outcomes oriented, provides the needed guidance for new students,

as well as current students; and,

 

RESOLVED, that the North Carolina State University Student Senate appropriates [to be later

amended] to provided the needed funds to purchase copy services and other items to support this program from line item [to be later amended]; and be it further,

 

RESOLVED, that the University Affairs Committee is herby charged with implementing the

transportation guides program.

 

Section 3.        Authorizing Legislation.  The Student Body Treasurer, in consultation with the Student Senate President and the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Finance, shall be empowered to implement the financial portion of this legislation.  The Student Senate President shall retain overall implementation authority pursuant to Student Body Statutes §3-11.2.

 

Section 4.        This act shall take effect upon enrollment.
