FINANCE BILL 95

A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

An act TO PROVIDE funding for the UAB to purchase a new projector for the cinema

Short Title: UAB Theater Act (Public)

WHEREAS, currently the UAB is in need of a new movie projector; and,

WHEREAS, the Parents Fund has agreed to give the UAB $10,000 if they can raise the addition funds; and,

WHEREAS, a new projector to bring the Student Cinema up to modern movie standards costs $25,000; and,

WHEREAS, currently the UAB has raised an additional $6,000; and,

WHEREAS, the UAB is committed to finding the funding for the new projector; and,

WHEREAS, any funds that are not raised for the projector will result in the monies being taken out of the Spring movie budget resulting in movie cuts; and,

WHEREAS, in an effort to prevent this and help the UAB; now, therefore be it

RESOLVED, that the North Carolina State University Student Senate authorizes and orders the UAB be given, a sum amount not to exceed $1,000.00, appropriated from line- 1401 (Appropriated Projects, Initiatives, and Programming).
