A RESOLUTION TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT TO CONGRATULATE DARRION CALDWELL ON HIS NCAA CHAMPIONSHIP WIN AND OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCES WHILE REPRESENTING NC STATE

WHEREAS,    the North Carolina State University wrestler Darrion Caldwell, coached by Carter Jordan, completed the season with an unfinished career record of 95 wins, only 12 losses, and 50 pins; and,

WHEREAS,    Darrion Caldwell had been named ACC Rookie of the Year his freshman year; and,

WHEREAS,    he has been named ACC Wrestler of the Year twice; and,

WHEREAS,    Darrion Caldwell has won the ACC tournament three times; and,

WHEREAS,    the Student-Athlete has accomplished All-American Honors twice; and,

WHEREAS,    Darrion Caldwell won the NCAA Division-I 149lb National Championship; and,

WHEREAS,    he has been named the NCAA Division-I Most Outstanding Wrestler; and,

WHEREAS,    the Student-Athlete is only the fifth wrestler in NC State history to be crowned a NCAA National Champion; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED,  that the North Carolina Student Senate hereby congratulates Darrion Caldwell, Coach Carter Jordan and the rest of the NC State Wrestling Team for CaldwellÕs NCAA Championship finish; and be it further

RESOLVED,  the North Carolina State Student Senate, along with its entire constituency, wishes Darrion Caldwell and the rest of the Wolfpack Wrestlers a strong, healthy, and productive program in future Seasons.
