WHEREAS, ;Student Government Appropriations has one of the most tangible effects on student life at North Carolina State University.
WHEREAS, ;Due to the diligence of the previous Finance Division and Student Government there is a sizable surplus recurring within the NC State Student Government 2008 Budget.
WHEREAS, ;With the explosive increase of student groups registered with the SORC office and strong advertising by the President Pro-tempore and TreasurerŐs Office,
WHEREAS, ;the Committee on Appropriations sees a continual rise in the request for funds from North Carolina State University Student Organizations,
WHEREAS, ; over the past few Sessions the Committee on Appropriations has seen an increase in the deficit between appropriations funds and funding requests.
RESOLVED, ;now therefore be it, that North Carolina State Student Senate orders the Department of the Treasury and the Finance Division of The North Carolina State Student Government to freeze all Unencumbered Surplus Money with the order that the sum total is to be added to the Spring Appropriations line item less the payment of any and all outstanding expenses left from the 87th session of The North Carolina State Student Senate.
