Government Bill 05 A BILL TO BE ENTITLED AN ACT TO INCREASE SENATE OFFICER ACCOUNTABILITY WITHIN THE OFFICE OF SENATE PRO TEMPORE ______________________________________________________________________________ Short Title: Pro Temp Revision Act Sponsors: Senator Goldsmith (Corresponding) Signatories: Referred to: Version: Initial Version First Reading: August 25, 2010 Second Reading: WHEREAS, the President Pro Tempore is currently the Chair of the Appropriations Committee and is charged with the task of directing the allocation of tens of thousands of dollars to student organizations; and, WHEREAS, it is the duty of the Chair of the Appropriations Committee to be an effective and efficient officer in the dispersal of student fee money; now therefore be it, RESOLVED, that Chapter 2, Rule 22 (b) of the Student Body Statues shall read: ÒRule 22 (b) President Pro Tempore At no time shall the President Pro Tempore serve as an officer of any standing committee, nor shall the President Pro Tempore serve as a member of any standing committee without the consent of the committee chair.
