A RESOLUTION TO BE ENTITLED AN ACT TO APPRECIATE THE NORTH CAROLINA STATE UNIVERSITY MEN’S BASKETBALL TEAM

WHEREAS, The North Carolina State University men’s basketball team has had an amazing run so far this basketball season; and,

 

WHEREAS, They have reenergized the Wolfpack Nation with their passion and determination for the game with memorable moments such as: Deshawn Painter’s fade away winning jump shot in the game against Princeton, the moment when Scott Wood broke the record for most consecutive free throws, the 27-2 run against Texas leading us to a comeback win, and the numerous alley hoop dunks that always get the fans on their feet, bringing enormous life to the RBC Center; and,

 

WHEREAS, Under the leadership of head coach Mark Gottfried, the team has exceeded many expectations; and,

 

WHEREAS, For the first time in six years, the team has made it to the NCAA tournament; now therefore be it,

 

RESOLVED, That the North Carolina State University Wolfpack Family would like to commend and congratulate Coach Gottfried and the men’s basketball team on all of their success so far this season.   

 

RESOLVED, That this bill take effect upon its enrollment.
