A RESOLUTION TO BE ENTITLED AN ACT OF APPRECIATION FOR PRESIDENT THOMAS W. ROSS’ VISIT TO THE NORTH CAROLINA STATE UNIVERSITY STUDENT SENATE

WHEREAS,  University of North Carolina System President Thomas W. Ross visited the North Carolina State University Student Senate on November 2, 2011; and,

WHEREAS,  President Ross has served as a North Carolina Superior Court Judge,  Director of North Carolina’s Administrative Office of Courts, and Executive Director of Z. Smith Reynolds Foundation; and

WHEREAS,  Thomas W. Ross became the President of the University of North Carolina System on January 1, 2011; and

WHEREAS,  President Ross has received numerous awards that highlight his dedication to public service and his professional achievements; and,

WHEREAS,  President Ross has made and continues to make outstanding contributions to the State of North Carolina and the University of North Carolina System through his leadership and commitment to public service; now therefore be it,

RESOLVED, that the North Carolina State University Student Senate thanks President Thomas W. Ross for his commitment to the University of North Carolina System, for his contributions to the State of North Carolina, and for his visit to North Carolina State University to speak in the Senate chambers.
