GOVERNMENT BILL 95

Chairman Lucy Tatum submitted the following report regarding Government Bill 95, "Appropriations Request Restructure Act", on Wednesday, April 9th 2003, on behalf of the Government Operations Committee, and pursuant to its Wednesday, April 2nd 2003 recommendations, by general consent:

As provided by Senate Rule 14(b), the committee requests that the Senate President place Government Bill 95 on the calendar for second reading.

Attendance:

There were five (5) Members (Fabricius, Horne, Moody, Palin, Tatum) present.

There were zero (0) Members absent.

A quorum was present.

Recommendations:

The committee recommends consideration by the Senate.

Committee Amendments:

The entire bill was substituted with a new version.

Within the new version, lines 13 and 15 were switched.

In Section 2, the committee added "the appropriations bill shall be introduced with a report including concise statements explaining the committee's decisions regarding the allocation of funds to each appropriations request."
