GOVERNMENT BILL 75

Chairman Zach Adams submitted the following report regarding Government Bill 75, "AN ACT TO ESTABLISH A TYPE C TICKET DISTRIBUTION FOR FOOTBALL", on Monday, November 1st 2004, on behalf of the Campus Community Committee, and pursuant to its Wednesday, October 27th 2004 recommendations, by general consent:

As provided by Senate Rule 14(b), the committee requests that the Senate President place Government Bill 75 on the calendar for second reading.

Attendance:

There were eight (8) Members (Adams, Buskirk, Langley, Moye, Sevits, Stephenson, Sarah Thornton, Wilburn) present.

There was one (1) Member (McCarthy) absent.

A quorum was present.

The following officials were also present: Buffkin, Fabricius, Heard II, Caravano

Purpose of Legislation:

Establishes a policy for camp out for football tickets.

Recommendations:

We reccomend senate pass this bill.

Committee Amendments:

The sponsors for this bill shall be changed to:
Senators ADAMS, BUSKIRK, BUTLER, LANGLEY, MCCARTHY, MOYE, SEVITS, STEPHENSON, THORNTON, and WILBURN. (CC Committee + Butler).

Line 118 strike: §9-2.3 and insert: §9-2.4

Line 121 strike: “with the remainder of distribution under the Type A and
Type B guidelines for distribution.”
And insert:
“Half of the Type C Distribution tickets shall be allotted from Type A, and
half from Type B. The remainder of the tickets will be distributed under
Type A and Type b guidelines for distribution.”
