NORTH CAROLINA STATE UNIVERSITY STUDENT SENATE
SESSION 2004-2005
COMMITTEE REPORT
Report No. CC-17
GOVERNMENT BILL 130
Chairman Zach Adams submitted the following report regarding Government Bill 130, ""Voucher and Ticket Distribution Policies Act"", on Sunday, February 27th 2005, on behalf of the Campus Community Committee, and pursuant to its Thursday, February 24th 2005 recommendations, by general consent:
As provided by Senate Rule, the committee requests that the Senate President place Government Bill 130, on the calendar for second reading.
Attendance:
There were six (6) Members (Adams, Langley, Sevits, Stephenson, Sarah Thornton, Wilson Jr.) present.
There were four (4) Members (Moye, Perry, Whitehouse, Wilburn) absent.
A quorum was present.
Purpose of Legislation:
To establish the policies of voucher and ticket distribution in the statutes.
Committee Amendments:
We received a proposed draft from Senator Fabricius with amendments we accepted. The amendments create two new sections in the statutes specifically for the zero-tolerance policy and volunteer policies, rather than amending current sections in the statutes. We feel that this will provide more clarity in the governing documents.
