SENATE RESOLUTION 138

Chairman Tracy Hutcherson submitted the following report regarding Senate Resolution 138, "A RESOLUTION TO BE ENTITLED AN ACT TO CENSURE SENATOR S. THORNTON ON THE GROUNDS OF ABUSE OF POWER", on Sunday, February 27th 2005, on behalf of the Government Operations Committee, and pursuant to its Wednesday, February 23rd 2005 recommendations, by general consent:

As provided by Senate Rule, the committee requests that the Senate President place Senate Resolution 138, on the calendar for second reading.

Attendance:

There were seven (7) Members (Birdsell, Chichwak, Cleary, Heard, Hutcherson, Jones, Jason K. Thornton) present.

There were two (2) Members (Ortega, Summey) absent.

A quorum was present.

The following officials were also present: Fabricius, Langley, Mital Patel, Stephenson, Sarah Thornton, Hyde, Pierson

Debate:

Senator Sarah Thornton appeared and testified that the specifications against her were correct.

Recommendations:

Report favorably the Censure on Senator Sarah Thornton.
