SENATE RESOLUTION 134
Chairman Tracy Hutcherson submitted the following report regarding Senate Resolution 134, "A RESOLUTION TO BE ENTITLED AN ACT TO IMPEACH SENATOR SCOTT STEPHENSON ON THE CHARGES OF ABUSE OF POWER AND NEGLECT OF DUTY", on Monday, March 14th 2005, on behalf of the Government Operations Committee, and pursuant to its Sunday, March 13th 2005 recommendations, by general consent:
As provided by Senate Rule, the committee requests that the Senate President place Senate Resolution 134, on the calendar for second reading.
Attendance:
There were seven (7) Members (Chichwak, Cleary, Heard, Hutcherson, Ortega, Summey, Jason K. Thornton) present.
There were two (2) Members (Birdsell, Jones) absent.
A quorum was present.
The following officials were also present: Buffkin, Fabricius, Hinton, Lam, Quick, Spivey, Stephenson, Hyde
Debate:
1. Sen. Stephenson did not refute (a)1.
2. Sen. Stephenson confirmed (a)2. but stated he was not told that he could not give out extra tickets
3. Concerning (a)3. Sen. Stephenson stated that he expected everyone to use ID cards for all vouchers taken.
