RESOLUTION 154
Chairman Erich M. Fabricius submitted the following report regarding Resolution 154, "AN ACT TO RESPOND TO THE PROPOSED PARKING CHANGES FOR 2005-2006", on Tuesday, March 15th 2005, on behalf of the University Affairs Committee, and pursuant to its Monday, March 14th 2005 recommendations, by general consent:
As provided by Senate Rule, the committee requests that the Senate President place Resolution 154, on the calendar for second reading.
Attendance:
There were five (5) Members (Bowles, Fabricius, Frickey, Sohail, Toms) present.
There were three (3) Members (Elena Everett, Ruth Garland, Rice) absent.
A quorum was present.
The following official was also present: Hankins
Purpose of Legislation:
The 2005 Parking Changes Act responds to the parking changes proposed by NCSU Transportation.
Background Information:
At the 28 February meeting of the committee, NCSU Transportation presented a list of proposed parking changes. This resolution formally endorses those changes, except the change of the DC/DD parking rate to that of the C zone rate, which it opposes.
Debate:
The committee discussed the matter at a previous meeting.
Recommendations:
The committee recommended the legislation to the Student Senate.
